Hi everyone! After long, long break I eventually came back to drawing with Derwent Studio colored pencils. I choose the most fluffy bird, that I found on the Internet - Botaurus stellaris. It looks quite funny, because it has very small head and many, many, many feathers with many, many, many details! Now I appreciate the hard Studio pencils - I can draw every single line or dot. And another good choice is Canson technical block, which has very delicate texture - it means that colors will also be delicate, but it's great for details. I have much time now (winter holidays) but next week I'm coming back to the university, so you probably will wait a little for this artwork... I'm drawing for about 2- 3 hours a day, until I feel pain in my neck and back, but I barely see any progress! It's maybe only one square centimeter per one hour! I draw on A4 sheet, so it will take me another...20-30 hours... without background...
I feel sometimes like I'm doing open-heart surgery. But it's quite relaxing, witch classical music and good tea and cookies...   
And again, I feel that I begin to be addicted to it... "only one more line! And this dot... and that one...and..!". Last time I felt something like this few years ago, when I was still a child and still was drawing... But, you know, studies, lack of time, lazyness... But now I know for sure that this is what i need for full happiness. So... see you after next 200 square centimeters of work!
And... yes... sorry for my english, I forgot much for the last 5 years  

Rysunkiem zajmuję się hobbystycznie - kiedyś był to tylko ołówek, od jakiegoś jestem zauroczona kredkami. Rysuję tymi od Derwenta - mały zestaw Studio, 24 kredki, choć zbieram pieniądze na poszerzenie mojego asortymentu kolorów. Tematem moich prac jest dzika przyroda, zwłaszcza ptaki. Staram się przedstawiać je jak najbardziej realistycznie, używając narzędzi, które przez większość osób kojarzone są tylko z dziecięcymi bazgrołami. W swoich pracach łączę realizm z kredkową, kolorową, nieco bajkową i mniej dosłowną rzeczywistością, przez co rysowane zwierzęta przebywają gdzieś pomiędzy postaciami z kreskówek a żywymi stworzeniami.
Przy każdej z prac podaję format, narzędzia i czas pracy.
